2019 Venue Upgrades
The City of North Vancouver is currently carrying out another phase of renovations and upgrades to the Pipe Shop Venue, which will conclude in April 2019. Upgrades include full heating and cooling systems, acoustic treatments to the ceilings, and upgraded lighting. As a result of the renovations, limited site visits are available in March and April 2019.
The Pipe Shop has undergone a series of capital improvements over the past few years, to transform the venue into one of BC’s best event venues. Building features include:
- Newly renovated washrooms, including accessible stalls
- Open concept “servery” kitchen for food preparation.
- Festoon lighting throughout the main venue
- Domestic hot water
- Passive ventilation with the installation of ceiling fans.
- Full height (23 ft) feature wall for A/V projections with frame. A 16″ x 9″ opening has been cut into the wall (frame) complete with lighting tucked in behind to allow for better ambiance later at night.
